GRUNND is a 100% handcrafted, fully voiced side-scrolling point and click adventure game, where your choices matter. It is a fusion between mystery and Sci-Fi. You will travel to a seemingly ordinary place that slowly introduces itself as a surreal and twisted world full of its own invisible gods, agendas, and order.

A planned quiet evening at home turns into a long and exhausting night, which brings unexpected revelations, new secrets and mystery to ponder. It all starts so ordinary and slowly twists into an eventful and mysterious chain of events where you get an uncomfortably closer look at things happening around you.

Roots? It so happens that GRUNND is a product of many things – as each of us are; but mostly, if we have to name the main inspiration pillars, those would be works by Franz Kafka and David Lynch, vibes of Southern Gothic and black metal, and a great dash of quality Science Fiction.

GRUNND is an adventure game with multiple endings in an intelligent and dark world. Great care is given to NPC’s – they are fleshed out and are not just a signposts for fetchquests. Developed by SEKTAHOUSE with the amazing help from Bright Gambit.

Some technical gameplay details:

– So far – WIN, MAC, LINUX, Nintendo Switch.

Main team
Olafs Osh – the guy with too many hats to list – the creator of GRUNND.
Nikola Uzelac – our graphic artist. You’ve seen it – he is good.
Ed Watkins – our copmoser – the master behind our atmosphere and SFX.
Flow team
Tony Li – programmer, creator of DialogeSystem;
Lourenço de Vulcanis – programmer, when Olafs get stuck, he sorts the mess out;
Hiep Van Nguyen – animator with a lot of work ahead of him;
Markus Sandelin – as he says himself – he’s picking after the kids.
And translators, VoiceOver artists… As you can tell by the variety of names – we are all over the place – Latvia, Serbia, UK, Finland, US, Brazil, Vietnam. A cool bunch. Also the band “Vudu Sister” is creating GRUNND Special to release alongside our Soundtrack to give some sounds lyrics as well.

Other things in the works
We are creating a beautiful, truly gorgeous Collector’s Edition, which will include bronze statuette of our protagonist, and couple other original bits.

Also, you are very welcome to check out GRUNND Podcast, where Olafs mumbles his way through interviews with game developers and people from different walks of artistry.

On December 4th, 2021 our successful Kickstarter ended – you can check this out as well.
